There is no better way to find out what a course can truly offer you than hearing from the people who have taken it! Today in our student series, we’re featuring Rebecca Woolbright. What she has done with the knowledge she found in Leverage Your Art is truly inspirational.
About Rebecca
Rebecca runs a brand called Rebecca Jane Woolbright in Stevenson, Washington. She is a true artrepreneur– she has a wholesale business where she manufactures her own products, she sells direct to customer via her website and Etsy, she licenses her art, and she is an educator on how to manufacture your products overseas.
Rebecca is a great example of someone who has created multiple streams of income, stayed consistent, and seen great results from it!
Rebecca’s Challenges and Frustrations
Before Rebecca took Leverage Your Art, she had made art, and she thought stores would simply find her and license her art. She had also reached out to a few companies she was interested in licensing with, but she didn’t get any bites, and didn’t know how to move forward.
Rebecca was frustrated because she felt like her product wasn’t good enough, or it wasn’t the type of artwork companies would want. She felt like there was a wall between her and her goals that she couldn’t break without extra information.
Why Rebecca Signed Up for Leverage Your Art
Rebecca liked the look of Leverage Your Art because Stacie approaches each module with a specific topic (wholesale, licensing, education, book illustration, etc.).
The idea of learning everything she was looking for and more was appealing to Rebecca, who is naturally interested in learning about all the different channels she could use to make money as an artist.
Stacie stood out to Rebecca as a teacher because she efficiently brought her students to the answers of the art world, she delivered all of the information she knew in a condensed way, and she was open to sharing her experience and bringing in people who have more experience with specific topics.
How Leverage Your Art Changed Her Life
Using the information she got from Leverage, Rebecca grew her list, made her wholesale catalog, developed a SKU system, and started to sell her work wholesale. She realized the course had changed the game for her as the opportunities started coming in.
With licensing, it took a bit longer for her to see the growth, but the course empowered her and helped her know exactly what to do. She showed up consistently and kept doing the work, and watched her business grow exponentially!
Rebecca says one of the biggest keys to her growth that she learned in Leverage is working 3-6 months ahead of time for seasonal products to meet the needs of her stockists and licensing contacts.
Now, Rebecca’s artwork is featured in over 100 stores, she has a schedule to pitch to wholesalers and licensing clients, she teaches courses on how to manufacture and sell your products, and she’s constantly creating and growing.
Thinking About Joining Us in Leverage?
Rebecca recommends that other artists take Leverage, because “You’re going to come out a different human.” Her top tip to new students is to keep their minds open to all the possibilities, because there is so much content in the course, she says you might be surprised at what jumps out at you.
Her method to success is picking 1 stream of income she’s learned about from Leverage and running with it, and once that’s up and running, going back to Leverage through the lifetime membership to get a refresher on the information Stacie gave about another stream of income.
Rebecca says there is not another course like it where you can learn a whole variety of ways to make money and use the art you already have to make money, so being able to step away from the course with that amount of information is totally worth the cost.
